Technological Development at Márka Beverage Manufacturing Ltd.

The technological development of ventilation systems and wastewater treatment has become an integral part of our efficiency improvement initiatives.

As part of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (GINOP), our support application (GINOP 1.2.8-20-2020-00729) for the technological development of ventilation and wastewater treatment systems, as well as the acquisition of IT equipment, was approved by the Head of the Managing Authority of Economic Development Programs, with a grant of HUF 72,000,000 (seventy-two million forints).

Within the framework of the supported investment, we modernized two production-related technologies:

1. Technological modernization of the wastewater treatment plant, supplemented with a sludge line (sludge dewatering technology), significantly reducing our sludge disposal costs and generating annual savings of at least HUF 12 million. By minimizing production downtime, efficiency is increased because production does not need to pause during the transport of large quantities of wet sludge. The increase in efficiency is achieved through the reduction of specific production costs, ensuring the retention of jobs.
2. Optimization of the bottling plant’s air temperature through improvements in ventilation and cooling technology. The air exchange in the production area increased from an average of twice per day to four-to-six times per day, improving both workplace comfort and the economical operation of machines. Enhancing the odor emission control of the production technology significantly exceeds occupational safety requirements, thereby ensuring a safe workplace. Reduced maintenance needs and downtime further contribute to production efficiency.
